Castanets

Castanets or clackers are a percussion instrument, consisting of two small-sized, pear-shaped hollow pieces of ivory, hardwood, and other materials that are hinged by a cord. You can play it by holding each of the pieces in one or the other thumb and striking together to make a sound. However, producing rhythmic sound with castanets isn’t a walkover unless you have practiced it hard. So, learning it can be a hobby to nurture.

This is a multiplayer board game also known as ‘The Settlers of Catan’. The game had its origin in Germany but has gradually become a popular game all over the world, now available in more than 30 languages. As a player, you take on the role of settlers and attempt to build and develop a habitat while trading and acquiring new resources. Gain points as your settlement continues to grow, and if you reach 10 points before others, you win the game.

Catering can be a good pastime, especially if you love serving food to people. You can engage in catering on occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, etc. You can also engage in catering in hotels, hospitals, pubs, cruise ships, filming sites, parks, etc. You don’t need a wealth of knowledge to engage in catering. You just need to learn the tricks and that can be done with some training.

Cavaquinho

Cavaquinho is a portuguese string instrument, much like a guitar, but has only four strings and is pretty smaller in size. Now popular used in Samba music of Brazil, Cavaquinho is traditionally tuned to DGBD by linear tuning, which means from lowest to the highest. There is no re-entrant tone. In Portugal, however, Cavaquinho is tuned in CGAD, DGBE, and GDAE. Though this may sound overkill, learning Cavaquinho can be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Caviar is a delicacy but comes at a hefty price when ordered in restaurants. It’s a preparation of salt-cured fish roe, and a very basic recipe, so much so, that you make it easily at home. The only hard part is separating the roe skin without damaging eggs. You can buy salmon, trout roe, or any other fish roe to make caviar.

Celesta 

This is a musical instrument operated by a keyboard. It looks like a piano but has smaller keys and an even smaller cabinet in the form of a wooden box. Each key in the board connects to a hammer that strikes a graduated set of steel bars that are suspended over wooden structures known as resonators. However, this is only the 3-octave model. There are 4 and 5-octave models too and they come with a damper pedal for sustaining or dampening of sound. The instrument sounds similar to a glockenspiel but has a softer timbre.

Cello is a four-string instrument of the violin family. The strings in this instrument are usually tuned from low to high, such as C2, G2, D3, and A3. Cello is played solo, but you can play it as a pair. Perhaps the most riveting aspect of cello instrument is how unrealistically it sounds like a human voice. If you hone your skills by embracing cello as a hobby, we are sure you will have a unique experience to swoon over for a lifetime.

The people who live in these locations are known as Celts, which is how the music became known as Celtic music. Celtic music is best described as a type of folk music with a distinctive music and lyrics   The Celtic music is generally played in ensembles, with the melody instruments playing in harmony.
