Knapping is a technique with which the conchoidal stones are shaped into different objects and forms. Conchoidal stones are a category of stones that have no specific plane of fracturing, upon hitting it. The category includes quartz, cherts, jasper, silica etc. The stones resulting from knapping are used for the construction of facing walls, for making stone tools, and other decorations. Making statues out of these stones can also be added to the category.
